  1. From the pic, that structure looks like sedimentary rock, which formed in layers in ancient seabeds. When glaciated, it tends to break off in blocks, leaving the great cliffs that you see. This is very familiar to me from travels in the Canadian Rockies (not so common in US).

    1. OMG, very impressive Tom. Thanks for sharing this interesting informaiton about rock types. I found that the Norwegian mountains were formed around 400 million years ago (Ma) during the Caledonian orogeny.
