Photo Study: capturing colour red

It’s late evening and my mind needs some relaxation after a day full of brain storming. I decided to participate in Brenda’s photo study: red. You have to believe me 🙂

Instead of going out.  I digged into my archives and looked the way I have captured red in my early photography days :D. The photos are from early 2015 when I got my DSLR.

As we know it is very difficult not to notice “Red” and at the same time it is really hard to get a good shot (I will never say perfect in my case).

Let’s begin our journey…

What feels like the end is often the beginning!

“Men are like pillow-cases. The colour of one may be red, that of another blue, and that of the third black; but all contain the same cotton within. So it is with man; one is beautiful, another is ugly, a third holy, and a fourth wicked; but the Divine Being dwells in them all”
―Swami Ramakrishna  Paramahamsa

Right now it’s summer, how about relaxing on a red bench

  1. Good day Rupali! When I leave the house with the intention to open myself to “red”, I am always amazed to see how much red colors my world. Yet, I have found that it is easy for me to destroy reds as I edit images on my computer. The reds in your image are beautiful and vibrant, especially in the first image and in your last three…hum, a couple slices of toast with strawberries or raspberries seem like a great way to start the day. In the street image, the man on the left first attracted my attention then my eyes were invited to travel across the image by the reds within the flags, and then suddenly my eyes found those red shoes…beautiful dark red shoes that then shifted my attention to the energy of the shadows. I had a great time wandering about your street photo. Thanks for joining and sharing your images. Hope your weekend is filled with similar beauty.

    • Thank you so much Brenda for following the parade photo so keenly. I really liked the way color red dominated that photo. I was tired after full day work and so going out was no option for me and even I did not want to postphone the post. HAve a great weekend Brenda.
