I am sure my regular reader’s will not find it unusal.
Soon will start packing for one week trip to the U.S., this time it’s the east coast. We will be staying in Fairfax, Virginia.
Any suggestions/tips are welcome.
Thanks.

A day trip to the Blue Ridge Mtns and Shenandoah Nat’l Park would be rewarding. The “Skyline Drive” (think that’s the name) through the Nat’l Park is beautiful. Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello, near Charlottesville is interesting history and set in a beautiful location. And of course all the sights in Washington, DC. I particularly like the National Gallery of Art and the space museum.

Bon voyage! Lots of good suggestions in the other comments. I would especially head to the Mall in DC to take in the free museums. Also, the Folger Shakespeare Library, which is not far from the Mall.
