Nurturing Thursday: Realize

Life is pure adventure, and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art. ~Maya Angelou

I haven’t been using my camera for a while. I am not aware of the exact reason but I guess recent circumstances didnn’t encourage me. Just yesterday evening I thought of taking it out on a walk. The change in routine got me engaged in a creative process and for sure lift my spirit.

Do something which helps you in changing your mood and brings a smile.

Stay safe and healthy.

  1. Yes to pure adventure. I was recently telling a relative of my “train trip” from Munich to France. My connecting train in Zurich was canceled, I hopped on some other train going west, switched trains somewhere else, made it to Geneva without getting busted, got wrong directions in French, ended up on a bus that stopped at the Swiss border, and had to hitchhike in the snow for the last 50 miles into France as the sun went down. To my relative, it sounded a nightmare. To me it was the best day of my 2-month trip through Europe.

    • First of all thanks for visiting and commenting.
I think different people will react in a different way.
I am impressed the way you handled and yet enjoyed your journey.
During our trip to San Francisco we were at golden gate bridge after sunset. It was late, dark, all closed and pitch dark. After looking at the night photogrpahs of the bridge we thought it would be fun to visit. We didn’t care to check with anyone in hotel, which in other situations we would have definetely done. Net work on our mobiles were not working so not able to call uber 😦
Police on petrol talked to us and told us about a bus going towards city and yes, they were petrolling the arer quite often.
It was like a lesson but we enjoyed our evening later at Fisherman’s Warf 🙂

  2. At home my camera is always close by. Sometimes it’s new flower, or a passing unique butterfly, a cloud in the sky– or like today, a woodpecker (whose very rare in this neighborhood) sharing a water dish with a sparrow. We’re lucky to be living in a time when special memories can be saved with our technology.
