@The Villa d’Este is a 16th-century villa in Tivoli, near Rome, famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and especially for its profusion of fountains. It is now an Italian state museum, and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
A beautiful place to visit, I guess.

We had a couple of hours left on the last day of our Rome visit. Our Bnb caretaker suggested visiting nearby villa’s before catching the flight back home 🙂

It’s been awhile since our Italy/Greece vacation– when we divided up 22 days between both countries. We spent the majority of our time in Rome and Athens– with some side trips– mainly because we really wanted to “know” those cities. Many thanx for the flashback, Rupali.

Beautiful!
In places like this I always find myself holding my breath. I’m so overwhelmed by the history, the beauty, the importance….I think about the people who were there l-o-n-g ago…their lives, feelings, etc., … 🙂
