This resonates deep! I myself, have witnessed a few dying branches on a tree near my house. Whilst I am sad to see it dying slowly, a tree that I have grown up with, I know that it will pave the way for something beautiful in its path 💖💫
Injured or dying or dead trees make me sad. But I know they have “seasons” of life just like we do. And some day we reach our final season.
Like Laurie so wisely said…even dead trees have value. 🙂

I have a big eucalyptus tree that has died suddenly this year. I have more but I grieve the loss. I also have to decide if it is too tall to leave it or risk my home. I just want the top taken so the birds and possums can find nesting place. I love your photo. It is life.
I am sure she’ll be back soon 🙂

A note of hope…dead trees provide all kinds of opportunities for birds, bugs, and other critters. Even in death, they give.

My pleasure. Our house is in the woods, and we don’t cut down dead trees unless they are risk.

Trees are special for some of us and it is natural to grieve for a loss. Thanks for sharing your feeling Tazzie.
