And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul ~John Muir
In the woods, we saw many birds and a busy woodpecker. We were so busy observing his rhythm that I didn’t take photo.
We are lucky that mountains exist; we are lucky that we have such beautiful sanctuaries on earth where we can enjoy utter silence and heavenly rise!~
Each positive thought is your refuge and your sanctuary, where in that thoughtful moment, you are safe.~ Simple Reminders: Inspiration for Living Your Best Life)
The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us. ~Ashley Montagu
Yesterday we challenged ourselves to try another place. We climbed 600 m above sea level and walked around 12.5 km. We were happy with results and the beautiful view from the top even though it was not exactly as per the original plan. I guess finding plan B is life 😎

Time was when I could hike up the hills and climb the down in Kodaikanal and Ooty. Me and my brother. The last ten or fifteen years have been rough on the joints. I am grateful that I can still walk a little, not with the same zest and speed that I used to.
what do those red markings signify on the tree stump and the rock? A distance measurement? Beautiful beautiful beautiful photos Rupali.
Sometimes I hear the wood peckers out in the garden. I have to get out and shoo them away. I don’t want them to sit on the sides of roof and start their yak-yak-yakking. 🙂

I just wait to read to your response Zakiah ji. Thanks a lot for sharing a piece of your life with me.
The red painted dots on stumps, trees and even on stones are the trail markers. The tour association do it on regular basis. In general Norwegians do not always like guided walks. Such marks help us. Otherwise it is is possible to get lost in the woods.

I too remember my climb through the pine forest in Ooty. It was much easier climbing than rolling down. Wish I could climb back those forests again, soon. We have pretty much adapted to living with the virus, but now those freedom memories haunt us.
Beautiful pictures, Rupali.

Lovely photos! My walks in nature definitely help me to lose my mind (chase out the bad) and find my soul (embrace the good). As for plan B, I think that is what life really is. 🙂
