Weekend 110: A walk in the mist

After one week we were back on one of our favourite trails. The actual weather decided to show significant difference from what the meterological institute had forecasted and I am glad. We had an amazing experience.

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky ~Rabindranath Tagore

It is the uncertainty that charms one. A mist makes things wonderful ~ Oscar Wilde

We have forgotten what rocks, plants, and animals still know. We have forgotten how to be— to be still, to be ourselves, to be where life is: Here and Now ~ Eckhart Tolle (Stillness Speaks)

There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds ~ Gilbert K. Chesterton

We walked in the mist hiking up and also coming down. Needless to say, we were happy with our decision of going out.

  1. The mist, the clouds and half hidden homesteads with the misty fog, make me long for the hills of Kodaikanal. Of course, we have similar scenic beauties here also, and I have some pictures to prove that, but seeing them again elsewhere, makes the heart long for the feel of the mist on my face. Lovely photos Rupali.

  2. “I stopped counting the geese in these flocks that fly over me, and instead admired their beauty.
I stopped foretelling the weather in these clouds that soar above me, and instead enjoyed watching them sail.
I stopped looking at the places where we don’t see eye-to-eye, and instead, embraced those where we do.”

  3. Great.. so Norway has got its glimpse of winters, I guess. I don’t think I can select one, because all of them are like full HD desktop wallpapers. Impeccably beautiful Rupali…

    • Oh dear, temperature is in single digit and people are still using autumn jackets. We are expecting snow in 22 weeks. Let’s see.
Thanks for commenting. I really appreciate.

  4. You could make a highly successful documentary series on the trail walks you do Rupali, each of them are so breathtakingly beautiful. And the photos are amazing, of the mist certainly, but mostly that sunset and the dew on the autumn leaf 👌👌👌
