Weekend 82: Midnight walk

To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles ~Mary Davis

July is the month of midnight sun in Norway. Due to the high mountains we do not experience the fantastic view of sunset – sunrise but anyways it doesn’t get dark at night in late june and july.

Here are some images from our late night walk along the river yesterday. It was very warm during day but extremely pleasant at night 😀

Subseasons of Spring: Part4

“Spring pools” by Robert Frostspring4_07

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.

Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.

And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.

For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfil.

Mother Nature is a great management Guru. She has a perfect plan to keep us busy and happy. She uses her resources wisely and put beauty around us in one way or the other. We need our senses to see, hear, smell and feel the beauty.

Since last two years I notice that all spring flowers do not come out at once. They share the piece of land and so they have their own small seasons ( a week or two) to bloom. Right time and right temperature and they are out smiling and leaning towars the sun.

So here is a series of pictures 🙂 .  The fourth in the series are the Blue bells.
