Pursue the things you love doing

Regular readers of my blog have noticed long gaps between my posts. Thanks for the concern. It’s been for some time that I find it difficult to spend more time on my blog. There are a couple of reasons which takes most of my time. I hope to find more time and a good balance next year.

Some natural setting are so unique that we don’t want to miss the chance to capture, and the full moon frame on the 25th November was one of these. A perfect reason to have some empty space.

This image was taken just before the annual fireworks show began. The highlight of the show was amazing but the moon hides behind the fireworks.

Last week was unlike our regular November week, it was dry and extremely cold. I managed to take walks on two days but decided to head to the office gym and to stay on treadmill for an hour on Sunday. It was a Sunday well spent. LAte in the afternoon I attended our monthly online book event.

On 30th I attended Christmas party in my office. Due to budget cut the dinner was arranged in our canteen, which was customary Christmas tapas and the social events were organised in common area in office. We were divided in various groups for creative activites. We all had so much fun.

During our international book club online meet a book named “Pompeii” written by Robert Harris was recommended. I had a little check on the author and his work before heading to the library. Pompeii is still on my reading list but I decided to pick “an officer and a spy” first. I really enjoyed reading this book. I must admit it’s a serious book with a lot of details and entangelments. I spent a good deal of my time last week going through those 479 pages and waking up at 7 o’clock on a Saturday morning justifies my devotion.

An Officer and a Spy is a 2013 historical fiction thriller by the English writer and journalist Robert Harris. It tells the true story of the French officer Georges Picquart from 1896 to 1906, as he struggles to expose the truth about the doctored evidence that sent Alfred Dreyfus to Devil’s Island.
