Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime. ~The Innocents Abroad / Roughing It)
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not.~Emerson’s Essays)
I’m sure everyone who has been traveling now misses to do it… Anyway, better days will come! All the best, PedroL

You Too Rupali, there seems a hopeful slowing of the virus here, hope that is happening where you are too.

Yes the situtation is under control. According to the plan, after the Easter break kindergardens and primary schools will be open on temporary basis. Also some small scale business.
It will take time to be back to normal but at least we have to experiement with utmost care.

Lovely images. Yeah, we miss travelling too. We usually move between London, France and Cornwall around the year and suddenly the world seems a small place. But let’s be positive! I’m going to travel differently after this pandemic. No more mindless hopping on flights, a bit more train etc.

Beautiful pictures. I miss travelling too. I guess things are different now with the current situation, with most of the world being in lockdown. At this point, I would even relish a local trip which i took for granted previously.

Travel for me has just show me how we all really just want the same things, respect to be treated equally no matter what our gender, race, religon, that we all just want to be able to feel safe, with enough food , clothing, warmth clean water and air, education for our children and enough to pay our bills. Many showed me in my travels, that even struggling at times in my mind they were more generous with what little they had sharing with a stranger, and kind and warm than many of my collegues and friends who have so much where I live. who would not welcome these very people that did me.

I can totally relate to you experience. I have had similar experiences. People from different cultures were helpful and kind. They wanted us to take back good memories of their town/country.
This is what we have earned in the couple of years, many friends from different continent.
Thanks for sharing your experience Tazzie.

Never thought about how would it feel not traveling anywhere for such long gap, in a way it’s keeping you safe and give you more time to research on your next destinations once this pandemic gets stabalized. Stay safe
