Vision of a tree
Accept nature’s mandate.
Grow where planted.
Use available resources.
Follow nature’s clock.
Sing nature’s song.
Bend and mend.
Protect natural selection.
Tolerate the hard.
Stay healthy strong.
Live to the fullest.
Make farewell useful.
Give what receive.
The photo is lovely and the words are touching.

Your poem reminds me of Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree.

Thanks for the mention. I haven’t read it.

It’s worth a trip to the library or bookstore (or online). It is a very rich allegory and a simple quick read. Blessings, Rupali, c.a.

awesome tree and perfect poem, just what we need to hear now … if that old gnarled tree can survive then so can we!

Thanks for your words Kate. We see many excellent examples while walking in forest.

in the forest is one thing but this one looks to be out there is a very precarious position

Oh yes. It was quite on the edge. The networking of roots teach us the need of more and more trees to avoid soil erosion.

absolutely, as a caver we could clearly see that underground!

yes thanks but also managed to sprain my ankle when a large hole covered in grass threw me off balance … resting it for now but confined to home until the swelling subsides 🙂

Oh, not a good news. Take good rest and enjoy your time.

walked 6km today, much slower as my walking rubbed the swollen ankle but I’m mobile 🙂
