Do not set aside your happiness. Do not wait to be happy in the future. The best time to be happy is always now ~ Roy T. Bennett
Life is no different than the weather. Not only is it unpredictable, but it shows us a new perspective of the world every day ~ Suzy Kassem
Sometimes there is no next time, no time-outs, no second chances. Sometimes it’s now or never ~ Alan Bennett
At any point in time you can always find something more pressing to do than that one vital but not immediately necessary task, and it’s only once it’s too late that you look back on your decisions and your mistake becomes painfully obvious. The trick is to substitute thinking ‘do I do this now or later?’ with ‘do I do this now or never?’, because all too often that’s the choice you actually end up making ~ Anonymous
Since April we started exploring our surroundings. We go on walks/hikes almost everyday with some rare exceptions. For Lens artists photo challenge this week, Amy proposed the theme “Now and then“. I decided to stick to the first part “Now”. Sometimes I like to dwell on the past and check our travellings photos but for now let us enjoy the beauty of November. I hope Amy wouldn’t mind either.
I am listening this piece while working on the post:
Rupali this is such an inspiring post! The quotes, the photos and the rendition by Malini Rajurkar. She has such a full and throaty voice. I don’t understand Marathi, but appreciate the vocal raag and the undulation of her voice. Very beautiful! VERY!

Thank you so much Zakiah ji.
We love Malini tai’s voice. She is one of the greatest hindustani classical singers. She belongs to Gwalior Gharana which is the oldest Khyal Gharana in Indian classical music.
Hope all is fine at your end. Take care.

I have come training in classical music but then i stopped it after 5 years. Got into something else. Maybe it wasn’t my path. I don’t listen to Hindustani classical music anymore though. My mom does 🙂

Oh! my family is a kansen family and I am the “limbu timbu” as we call means the one with least knowledge but I am getting interested. The history of classical music fascinates me.

Thanks for kind words Kate.
We love going on walks and it’s even more interesting when strangers started to talk about the fine scenery and the light on mountain peaks. We human are social and sharing our joy is what we love.

Having collected these wonderful thoughts in a single entry is a great achievement on your part and the ideal setting to accompany them, nothing better than the music you chose and the photos of excellent landscapes. A total enjoyment at the beginning of my night.
Congratulations on your entry.
Good weekend to you

Such amazing beautiful surroundings and photographs!! Your post was so good to immerse in with such wonderful quotes. I loved the one with Now or Later replaced with Now or Never. I think I will remember that when I try to postpone something I really want to do 🙂

Lovely photos of the walks Rupali, the golden leaves have made way for the white frosty snows!
Does the snow get heavier in the coming months, and are you still able to continue the walks as winter progresses?

It will be eventually. People have already installed ski boxes on cars.
I am not sure about walks though yesterday we had a walk in -2 C but roads were clear.
Thanks Deb.
