Fences and Beyond

It’s hard to find any special fences in the country side. In my neighbourhood we have almost no fences. At some places shrubs are used as partial hedging. Near farms we see temporary fences in spring and summer when the livestock are taken out of the barn and are kept near house before sending them to feed in the forests and the mountains.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope ~Maya Angelou

I was amazed at there were almost no fences on the Northern Limestone Alps in Innsbruck, Austria. There were many trails but this was the only fence/railing I found. One is responsible their own safety.

I found my old post on “fences” 😊

What’s (was) bugging me?

The truth is, it’s little early to have captured the bugs for the season. What bothered me the most was my inability (with a long list of reasons) to have hiked a lovely place earlier this year.

Last weekend me being in the city encouraged me to go out and even the sun and the weather department were quite cooperative. Saturday turned into Sunday. Saturday was spent reading “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City” by Matthew Desmond. After breakfast on Sunday I hiked around 1300 uneven natural steps (Sherpa-trappene or Sherpa stairs ) to reach the top of the mountain named Ulriken. Ulriken is the highest of the Seven Mountains that surround the city of Bergen, Norway. It has a height of 643 metres above sea level. Four Sherpas from Nepal were hired to build stairs to Ulriken top.

Happy weekend friends!

Here’s a window to my environment

Enjoyed the warmth of this spring

It’s been over a week since we are back from Italy. To our surprise we came back to sunny and warm days. A short vacation was enough to amplify our workload. Anyways we managed both, our duties and personal time.We spent evenings in enjoying sunsets from different places and during weekends we got busy in hiking, chasing spring as we believe “no two springs or sunsets are the same

Six Word Saturday

Jos Monday Walk

I am glad as from yesterday we are back to our default weather routine. It’s mostly wet, cold and grey and yet it’s spring. Even the public road administration has asked people to wait an extra week before changing their winter tyres if they haven’t done it already 😁😲

Have a great week!

Spring is around the corner

Life is full of new experiences with a tag “conditions applied”. Some sees it some don’t. Here is my try to find some moments which may not excite the locals but to me yes and probably to some of you?
