Winter has settled in well and I do take a walk almost everyday but there is nothing new to exhibit. I checked my archives and decided to revive an old hike/walk. For a cold sunny day the weather was perfect for a long walk on the mountains. Come along folks…

Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. ~ Plato

It is the beauty within us that makes it possible for us to recognize the beauty around us. The question is not what you look at but what you see ~ Henry David Thoreau

Walking gives time to reflect. Don’t rush.

I find weekly challenges interesting and enjoy participating in a couple of challenges every week. These challeges give opportunities to meet people, watch their work and learn about new things and places. My daily or weekly walks are linked to Jo’s Monday Walks. From last year I am also participating in Debbie’s Six Word Saturday challenge. Selecting a photo(s) and composing a six word caption for the same is a fun activity. Here I present one of my earlier entries (April 2021) to Six Word Saturday with the title “Fresh snow was served for breakfast“

Lens artists photo challenge doesn’t need any introduction as we all wait for the theme every Saturday. My heartfelt thanks to the LAPC team for bringing us all together in this weekly activity.
Stay safe and be kind.

What a beautiful post Rupali, and a perfect title for 6-word Saturday! Those snowy images make me yearn for just ONE snow day – but not the cold that comes along with it! Thanks for the lovely nod to the L-A team, we very much appreciate your support and participation.

Kentucky had a glorious nine+ inches of snow on Thursday 😊 with temps in the teens (F) [1/3 meter, temps ~-12C). But last night rained poured down sooo hard, this morning only the piles by the driveways was left and now those are almost gone afternoon. 😢
Of course, when drivers in Kentucky see two inches of snow, it’s like: “We’re ALL gonna DIE!”
My sis-in-law in Alberta, Canada, sees 2 meters, and they say, “It must be Wednesday.” 😂

I remember last year in January a winter storm brought heaviest snowfall in cities in Spain and Portugal which brought them to standstill situation. Here it’s fine since we are prepared well in advance.
We are expecting a rainstorm in 2 days. 😢😢😢

If you live in a cold climate you’ll sometimes have snow. Captured very beautifully, Rupali. And you’re right- nothing to do but go out and enjoy it! Thanks so much for linking to me.

That’s a beautiful post, Rupali! I haven’t seen snow on mountains in decades, we used to love it when we tree in Colorado. 🙂

Excellent photos of Winter, we dont have much snow at all right now. Like 5 inches, but it is getting very cold. Kind of a weird winter with huge swings in weather. I really like your views of the mountains.

Thanks kindly. These were taken a couple of years ago. This year it’s different here as well. We are expecting a serious rain storm tomorrow morning.
